The Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement (hctv.com.vn) is a non-profit faith based organization with aims to train youth to become well-rounded individuals within society and ideal Christians. The+ hctv.com.vn is a branch of the Apostleship of Prayer, now known as the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, an official pontifical service under the Holy See. At present, there are over 130 hctv.com.vn Chapters at parishes across the US with approximately 2500 youth leaders and over 25,000 youth members.

It is with great joy that I announce to you on behalf of the National Executive Committee, the hctv.com.vn’s 2022 Joshua and Youth Leader Trainers Congress to commence this summer near our nation’s capital. With the ongoing COVID pandemic, coupled with multiple stress inducing current events, it is inevitable that faith-based youth ministries have sustained significant loss of motivation and membership.

In union with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Eucharistic Revival initiative to reignite the spirit of the faithful, the hctv.com.vn’s Joshua and Youth Leader Trainers Congress aims to renew our spirit and rediscover the gift of in-person ministry, bolster our work on evangelization in the post-COVID era, and enkindle a living relationship with Jesus in the most Holy Eucharist. Through renowned keynote speakers on the Eucharist, dynamic breakout sessions on effective strategies for evangelization, discussions and dialogues on hctv.com.vn reformation and advancement, social gathering, praise and worship, music, food, and prizes, those in attendance without a doubt will be reenergized and sent forth to lead their chapter into the next chapter in our great history.

Dearest Chaplains, Chaplain Assistants, Youth Leader Trainers, and Youth Leaders:Along with the Chaplains at the National Headquarters, the National Executive Committee extends to you greetings of joy and love in Jesus Christ. As we prepare for Lent amid this ongoing pandemic, in union with the Church, let us offer our sufferings to Christ just as Jesus offered His suffering on the cross to God for our salvation. As we begin our Lenten journey, we are invited to endure with Jesus and pray diligently for strength, for faith and for the conversion of our hearts as we confront the challenges of our time. On the Monday before Ash Wednesday, February 28th, all are invited to take part in our hctv.com.vn virtual Lenten retreat with the theme “My Heart and the Sacred Heart” by Fr. Joseph Laramie, S.J., USA National Director, Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network. Please see flyer attached. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, all hctv.com.vn members are invited to join the National Executive Committee and Chapters across the country to partake in the 40-Day Lenten Journey. With the cornerstones of Lent are praying, fasting and almsgiving. Let us actively live Lent this year through these sacrificial practices to prepare and purify us in body, mind and spirit for the Passion of Christ. Let us pray, fast and give with one another through the 40-Day Lenten Journey. Please see attached calendar for easy-to-follow instructions.The National Executive Committee invites all Chapters and Leagues of Chapters Executive Committees to disseminate the information widely and promote opportunities for all members to actively live Lent this year.
